Softeners
Problems associated with hard water can be minimized by using a water softener. Typical applications for softened water are boiler and cooling tower pretreatment, laundry operations, warewashing in foodservice, vehicle wash adn manufacturing processes.
Dealkalizers
Dealkalization (chloride-anion exchange) is concerned with the reduction of carbonate and bicarbonate anions. This can be accomplished by several methods, the simplest method being chloride-anion exchange.
Rinse
Purified water is used as a final rinse in many processes and is a major use of purified water.
Boiler Feed
The treatment and conditioning of boiler feed water must satisfy three main objectives continuous heat exchange, corrosion protection and production of high quality steam.
Reverse Osmosis
The heart of the RO system is the semi-permeable membrane which acts as a molecular filter to remove up to 99% of all dissolved solids. Typical used for reverse osmosis are ultra-fine filtration of water for drinking water applications, food & beverage servce, ice production/drinking water, humidification, boiler pretreatment, vehicle wash and water jet cutting machines.
Degasifier
Some industrial applications and processes require ultra pure water with extremely low levels of dissolved gases and other contaminants. Degasification / decarbonation increases the life of the process equipment by preventing or controlling corrosion.
Strong Base Demineralizer
The strong base demineralizer is a two-vessel system. The result is a water containing only hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions which combine to form pure water.
Depth Filtration
The process of depth filtration is considered to be one of the leading and most efficient
types of filtration for pre-treating ground water to the
quality required for different business applications.
Carbon Filtration
Activated carbon is widely used in water filtration systems. Carbon is very effective at improving taste, removing chlorine and many other contaminents.
Demineralizer and Deionizers
Deionization if one of the most efficient processes known for removing ionic dissolved salts and minerals from water. The deionization process uses synthetic ion exchange resin to remove dissolved solids from water by ion attraction and exchange.
Ultraviolet (UV) Systems
UV light continues to be a reliable means of disinfection, involves exposing contaminated water to radiation from UV light. The treatment works because UV light penetrates an organism's cell walls and disrupts the cell's genetic material, making reproduction impossible.
